Vision and Goals of the Trip
MISSION
To Glorify God by Exposing American Christians to His World View
VISION
To impact the members of each group with the needs in Brazil, equipping them with an exciting, new outlook on God’s world through a variety of cross-cultural ministry experiences.
Goals
- Expose mission team to life outside the U.S.A.
- Allow them to “rub shoulders” with saved and unsaved Brazilian people.
- Give them a wide variety of new experiences in Brazilian culture.
- Challenge them to rethink their way of life and plans for the future.
- Help them think through how to transfer what they learned back into their own culture. (Strengthen missions’ awareness in their church, impact their friends, etc.)
- Lovingly and intelligently push them out of their “comfort zone” forcing them to rely on the Lord in a new way.
- Revolutionize their view of how missionaries look, what they do, and how God treats them through our lifestyle and attitudes.
- Effect lasting change in their personal relationships with God through our daily debriefing and devotional time.
- Build in them a new awareness of God’s love and power through their exposure to God’s work in the Brazilian Christians’ lives.
- Offer them practical ways to maintain an exciting personal walk with God upon their return to the U.S. based on lessons learned in the areas of schedule, self-control, and sanctificati
